Why attacks on Odesa have become more frequent: there are several reasons

The Russian Federation has changed its tactics and is trying to take the initiative. In recent days, the Russians began shelling Odesland more and more often. Serhii Bratchuk – spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army South emphasized that there are several reasons why night attacks on Odesa region have increased: “The enemy is trying to influence not combat operations, but logistics, in order to be able to influence the supply of one or another material that ensures victory on fronts.

Odesa is one of the key regions in this case,” said Serhii Bratchuk. Night attacks in Odesa: – On June 10, the Russians bombarded Odesa with rockets and kamikaze drones. During the night attack of the occupiers on the Odesa region, the air defense forces of Ukraine managed to destroy all Shahed-131/136 unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the aerial battle, one of the drones hit a high-rise building, causing the building to catch fire, reports the Southern Operational Command.

On June 14, the Russians attacked Odesa with four Kalibr missiles, as a result of which three people died and 13 more people were injured. As informed by the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). – Today, June 15, 13 drones were launched across the south of the country. According to preliminary information, all UAVs were destroyed.

As of 09:00 on June 15, six enemy ships were detected in the Black Sea, which are in a state of combat readiness. Among them are two carriers of cruise missiles of the “Kalibr” type, the total salvo of which is 16 pieces. This was reported by the press service of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result of the Russian missile attack on Odesa on the night of June 14, the Odesa film studio, which is one of the oldest film enterprises in the world, was damaged by an explosive wave. The central entrance (doors and opening mechanism) were damaged, the ceiling in the building of the shooting preparation shop was partially destroyed, and 13 windows were broken in the film processing shop.

As reported in the press service of the film studio, none of the employees of the enterprise were injured. “The film studio is a world cultural property. This is an important place not only for Ukrainians, but also for world culture as a whole, because this is where the national cinema was born more than a hundred years ago. The film studio is located at a distance of about one kilometer from the epicenter of the explosion, so one can only imagine the terrible destruction suffered by residential buildings that took the brunt of the blast wave.

Russian missiles hit the civilian population, private buildings, and cultural monuments. This is yet another evidence of the anti-civilizational intentions of Putin’s Russian Federation,” the message reads.
