Worker killed in drone attack at Zaporizhzhia NPP

On the morning of April 27, a drone attacked a building near the Zaporizhzhia NPP. A man was killed.

This was reported by observers from the International Atomic Energy Agency. It is noted that the drone hit a transport workshop near the Zaporizhzhia NPP site. The driver died as a result of the attack.

“Strikes on or near nuclear power plants can threaten nuclear safety and should not occur,” the agency noted.

The IAEA added that their team on site will investigate the incident and continue to monitor the situation.

On April 26, the Zaporizhzhia NPP once again lost external power supply. The «Ferrosplavna–1» power transmission line was disconnected, which caused the plant to go into blackout mode.
