“The infrastructure of a civil enterprise was damaged in Kup’yansk. In the village of Dvorichna, a direct hit was recorded in an apartment on the second floor of a residential building. Private houses and commercial buildings were also damaged. There were no casualties,” the report said.

According to the updated information of the Regional Center of Emergency Medical Assistance, 8 teenagers were injured yesterday as a result of the explosion of an anti-personnel mine “petal” in Izyum. 7 children have shrapnel injuries. One girl has a psychological trauma – an acute reaction to stress. The condition of the victims is light, there is no threat to their lives. However, all the children were hospitalized in the Kharkiv hospital for further examination.

Three districts of the region were under fire from the enemy during the day.

Yesterday, the enemy shelled the border settlements of the Chuguyiv, Kupyan and Kharkiv districts of the region.

According to his data, in particular, Vovchansk, Kupyansk, Dvorichna, Ohirtseve and other settlements were under fire.

“In Kup’yansk, the infrastructure of a civil enterprise was damaged. In the village of Dvorichna, a direct hit was recorded in an apartment on the second floor of a residential building. Private houses and farm buildings were also damaged. There were no casualties,” the report says.

Since the beginning of the day, the Russian occupiers have launched one missile attack on Ukraine, as well as launched more than 20 attacks from multiple rocket launchers. This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 3.

“During the day, the Russian occupiers launched a rocket attack on the civilian infrastructure of the city of Barvinkovo, Kharkiv region, there are casualties among the civilian population. In addition, the enemy launched more than 20 attacks from rocket salvo systems,” the message reads.

The General Staff emphasized that there is “a great danger of further Russian air and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine.”

In autumn and winter, Russia carried out 13 waves of massive missile and 15 drone attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector. The country began to introduce temporary blackouts, which sometimes lasted several days.

The President of the Russian Federation, Volodymyr Putin, admitted that Russia is purposefully shelling the objects of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.

The restoration of the road infrastructure destroyed by the occupiers in the Kharkiv region is of strategic importance.

Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said this on February 3.

“As soon as we enter the de-occupied territories, we see that the entire road infrastructure is either destroyed or mined. The same goes for bridge crossings. Now we face serious challenges regarding the restoration of bridge crossings to the city of Vovchansk. This is the Starosaltivska dam, as there is quite serious damage and quite serious work there. In fact, this new capital construction will be to restore this bridge crossing,” Oleg Sinegubov said.

The head of the regional military administration said that work on the restoration of road infrastructure is ongoing.

“I will not say, in order not to release information, how many crossings we have already restored or created alternative crossings. This is fundamentally strategic for us, as we have to provide logistics for our Armed Forces as well. Everything they mine, everything they destroy, we will fix, demine and rebuild,” Oleg Synegubov stressed.

As for the destruction of the housing stock, more than 8,000 destroyed buildings have been recorded in the Kharkiv region, including 4,000 high-rise buildings and 4,000 private residential buildings.

According to the head of the regional military administration, the military armies of the Russian Federation do not stop trying to occupy Kharkiv and reoccupy the liberated territories of the Kharkiv region.

As of now, 29 settlements of the Kharkiv region, where approximately 2,000 people live, remain under temporary occupation.

On February 2, the Russian occupiers attacked the village of Odnorobivka, as well as the villages of Udy and Chervona Zorya of the Zolochiv territorial community of the Kharkiv region.

According to Synegubov, the peak of the return of people to Kharkiv Oblast and Kharkiv has passed. “Those people who wanted to return even during hostilities, the threat of shelling, they have already done so. In order to expect a new wave of return, be it students or someone else, we have to change something on the front line. Guarantee some security to keep people coming back. Or de-occupy these 29 settlements. As practice has shown, after de-occupation, people immediately return to their territories,” said the head of the regional administration.

In September, during the counteroffensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated about half a thousand settlements in the Kharkiv region, including Balaklia, Izyum, Kupyansk, Kupyansk-Vuzlovy, Kozacha Lopan, Liptsi and others.
